Recipe: Cottage cheese & honey, banana, blueberry jam

I am happy to share a dessert recipe I invented last week by not being quite able to choose how to “pimp” my cottage cheese and where I ended up simply *not* choosing. The result is amazing!

Ingredients

For one serving – 5 minutes preparation time

  • Cottage cheese / fromage blanc
  • Honey
  • 1/2 banana
  • 3 spoons of blueberry jam
  • 1 bowl
A blueberry preserve jar, a bottle of honey, a banana and a pouch of cottage cheese
Ingredients

Preparation

Put cottage cheese in bowl. About how much you wish, but leave enough space for the rest of the ingredients, or use a bigger bowl.

Add honey. Start from the center and draw bigger circles. It is CRUCIAL that you make sure to coat the outer side of the cheese AND that you line with honey the side of the bowl. Read why at the end of the recipe.

Peel the banana. Cut it in half lengthwise, and cut chunks that you let all inside the bowl.

Add three spoons of blueberry jam (or less if it is very sweet) on top of the banana in three different spots. Feel free to stack the jam in the middle. Your dessert, your choice!

Enjoy!

Your dessert is ready. I suggest you mix it just a bit so you can taste the different flavors in each spoonful.

Before you reach the bottom of the bowl make sure to scrap the side of the bowl to fill your spoon with the honey for some bonus sweetness.
